Justin Russell is a dedicated public servant with over 19 years of experience in law enforcement with the Irvine Police Department (IPD). He began his career as a police officer in 2004 and has worked several assignments such as Patrol, School Resource Officer, Field Training Officer and Arrest and Control Instructor. In 2014, he became the Arson Detective for IPD, assigned to assist the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) Investigations Services Section. He is the only law enforcement officer in the section working alongside the OCFA Fire Investigators. In this role, he has assisted in several hundred fire investigations in all aspects including origin and cause, follow-up investigation, juvenile interviews and effecting arrests for criminal violations. His background in policing has proven invaluable in his investigative work and he is honored to represent both agencies in this role.
