Chris's career has spanned over 26 years in the fire service. He worked the first 15 years as a professional wildland firefighter, working fires across the Western United States and accomplishing the rank of Captain. Chris has continued his professional fire career with a large municipal and wildland fire department in California. He has been instructing fire behavior, firing and tactical operations, and leadership over the last 18 years. Chris is a California State instructor and National Wildland Coordinating Group instructor. As the owner of Southern Sierra Fire Training, he and his team provide Firefighting, Emergency Management, and Leadership training nationally to all levels of organizations.
