Matthew Kearney grew up in Riverside County and became a volunteer firefighter in 2006 with Riverside County Fire. Since then, he has been a student of the craft of live fire training and a primary instructor for Fire Control 3 over the last 10 years.
Kearney's interactive classroom sessions go beyond textbook definitions, using small fire behavior props to breathe life into the theories. His dedication has transcended individual fire academies, as he has become a sought-after instructor for multiple Inland Empire Fire Academies and various governmental agencies.
