Greg Lloyd has served in public safety for over 32 years and started his career as a transport paramedic for a private ambulance. After six years, Lloyd began his 21-year career with San Diego Fire-Rescue where he worked in suppression throughout the city, from the high rises of downtown to the wildland urban interface areas of the North city. Additionally, he served with a number of Special Operations units, functioning in roles such as SWAT medic, bomb technician helicopter rescue medic and crew chief. After leaving operations, Lloyd continued to serve for three years as one of the department chaplains. In 2018, he continued his career as a battalion chief with the City of Hemet, including three years as the training chief and is a registered instructor with the State of California. He currently oversees the Emergency Medical Services and Community Risk Reduction bureaus within Hemet and functioned as the interim deputy fire marshal for the newly formed Department of Life Safety. Lloyd has served as the Southern Director for CSFA, is a member of the CSFA Training & Education and Pathways committees and is vice president of the California First Responder Support Team.
