Firefighters are exposed to a variety of potential hazards in the course of their work, both at and away from the fireground. Each year, the National Fire Protection Association studies firefighter deaths and injuries to provide national statistics on their frequency, extent, and characteristics. This presentation will discuss those findings that help establish trends, risks and hazards that can be mitigated for firefighter safety.
